‘How to’ guide for lodging an objection to Veolia’s Tarago Incinerator proposal (Woodlawn ARC).

 

There are currently two ways to lodge an objection - using the Planning Portal (Using instructions on this page) or by sending an email. If you prefer to send an email please go to our Email objection page.

If you experience problems using the Planning Portal, go to our Email objection page to email your objection instead.

When to lodge your submission
 

Make sure you lodge your submission well BEFORE the closing date of 13 

December 2022!  The NSW Planning Department website is notorious for glitches and being slow to reset passwords.

 

What to put in your submission?
 

Go to our How to write an objection page for an easy-to-use template. Once written come back to this page to submit your objection.

Create an Account

 

1. Go to the NSW Major Projects website.

2. Click on the ‘Sign-in’ button in the top right-hand corner. This will open the log in screen.

3. On the log in screen, click on the Create account link

4. Enter your email address. This will be your username and any system generated emails will be sent to this address.

 

5. Create a password. Passwords must:

  • Be at least eight characters long

  • Have no more than 16 characters

  • Contain at least three of the following:

    • Uppercase letters (A through Z)

    • Lowercase letters (a through z)

    • Numbers (0 through 9)

    • The following characters: ~ ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) _ + { } { } | \ : ; “ ‘ < > , . ? /

6. Enter your first given name, family name and contact number.

7. Tick the box to indicate that you agree to the Terms and Conditions.

8. Tick the box ‘I’m not a robot’ and complete questions such as ‘Select images with traffic lights’.

9. Click on the ‘Create account’ button.

10. A confirmation email will be sent to the email account that you used to create the account.

11. When you receive the confirmation email, click on the link to verify your account. NOTE – your website account will not be created until you have successfully verified your account.

12. You will be taken to the log in screen.  Enter your details to log in.

 

13. Click on the button on the left “I would like to make a Submission, subscribe for Notifications or Provide Feedback on an application”.

14. Complete the remainder of the form and click the ‘Complete Profile’ button in the bottom right hand corner.

Lodge your objection

​

  1. Go to the Veolia Tarago Incinerator (Woodlawn ARC) Major Project website

  2. Click ‘Make a submission’ button.

3. You may be prompted to log in to the website. Log in with your previously created account.

 

4. Follow the prompts to enter:

  • Whether you are making a person submission or lodging on behalf of an organisation or group.

  • Your personal details.

  • Declare any political donations (if required).

  • Enter whether you would like your name to be withheld.

  • Click on the button next to “I object to the project” (this is very important).

  • Enter the details of your submission into the “Your Comments” box or click “Add Attachment” to upload an attachment containing your submission.

  • When you are ready click ‘Continue’.

5. Complete your submission by agreeing to the Department’s terms and conditions (by clicking the check box) and clicking on the blue ‘Submit’ button in the bottom right.
